Optical communication interface for LaserGame
Vykydal, Jan ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This work deals with the design of the communication interface in the infrared band of electromagnetic waves, which will be applicable to the laser game.
IR thermometer
Fridrichová, Jitka ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
These master‘s thesis deals with the issues of contactless temperature measurement, designe and construction of the infrared contactless thermometer. The thesis is concerned with the IR physical magnitudes and laws, methods of measurment and types of detectors, which are used for contactless temperature measurment. In the practical part of the thesis is created system design and block diagram of the IR termometer. In the next part of the thesis is presented system design, drawing of the printed circuit board and software processing of the IR thermometer. In conclusion are summerized our achieved resultes.
Camera for biological applications
Jurák, Petr ; Slovák, Jiří (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on the design of IP blocks for thermal camera. This termal camera is intended for plant research. The main part of the thermal camera is an infrared detector that detects a frequency in the range of 8 – 14 m. The analogue signal obtained is modified and subsequently digitized. The detector also includes a Peltier device which is designed for both detector cooling and heating, and is controlled by an external signal. The MicroZed development board implements IP blocks. The thermal camera is designed to be controlled from the MicroZed board. Device analysis is first described from the theoretical part to the design of IP blocks.
Unidirectional plasmonic antennas
Formanová, Veronika ; Hrtoň, Martin (referee) ; Kvapil, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with directional V-shaped plasmonic antennas. In the thesis, an analytical model of antenna emission is proposed. The results of analytical computations are compared with results of numerical simulations in Lumerical FDTD Solutions package. Also, the process of fabrication of such antennas by electron beam lithography and measurement of optical properties using Fourier infrared spectroscopy is described and measured antenna resonant spectra are shown. Finally, there is a proposal of an experiment to prove the emission directivity of fabricated V-shaped antennas.
Lasertag gun module
Sekanina, Viktor ; Matěj, Zdeněk (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
Master’s thesis describes the design parameters of components of electrical and electronic circuits for the game lasetag. There are described the various components and suggested their connection.
Magic Projection
Kaisler, Vojtěch ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Zachariáš, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the design and implementation of an application which projects an image on a mobile canvas. The user then moves the canvas within the projection space. The projection is always focused only on this canvas. The thesis deals with tracking of movement, rotation and tilt of the screen. A camera with an infrared filter is used for tracking the canvas fitted with infrared LEDs. The thesis mentions two different types of projection.
IR thermometer
Šolc, Radek ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the issue of temperature measuring with the use of contactless thermometer. The thesis examines the physical findings, detectors, methods for contactless temperature measurement. Practical part consists of system design. Suitable detector, signal processing system and evaluation of temperature were chosen. According to the system design were created circuit design solution and printed circuits boards’ design of IR thermometer.

High-average power picosecond mid-IR source
Vyvlečka, Michal ; Novák, Ondřej (advisor) ; Trojánek, František (referee)
1 Title: High-average power picosecond mid-IR source Author: Michal Vyvlečka Department: Department of Chemical Physics and Optics Supervisor: Ing. Ondřej Novák, Ph.D., Hilase centre, Institute of Physics of CAS Abstract: High average power wavelength tunable picosecond mid-IR source based on optical parametric generation (OPG) and optical parametric amplification (OPA) is being developed. The conversion system is pumped by an Yb:YAG thin-disk laser delivering 100 W of average power at 100 kHz repetition rate, 1030 nm wavelength, and 2-3 ps pulse width. Part of this fundamental beam pumps an OPG process in a PPLN crystal. The generated wavelength is determined by PPLN's poling period and temperature. Tunability of the signal wavelength between 1.46 µm and 1.95 µm was achieved, the signal beam of 20 mW was generated at 2 W of pump power, when double pass of the beams through PPLN crystal was used. The corresponding idler wavelengths were in range 2.18-3.50 μm. The signal beam was further amplified by OPA process in two KTP crystals, which was pumped by the fundamental beam. The signal beam was amplified up to 2 W at pumping of 38 W. Tuning of the output wavelength was realized by change of the phase-matching angle in KTP crystals. Tunability between 1.70-1.95 µm for signal and 2.18-2.62 µm for idler was...
